Abstract

Muitas vezes confundido com "jornalismo empreendedor" ou "jornalismo freelance", o chamado "jornalismo de startup" transporta em seu próprio nome contornos ainda pouco explorados na literatura científica. A proposta desse artigo é mapear as diferenças, semelhanças e particularidades desses enunciados, buscando refletir sobre como é apresentada a ideia de inovação em cada um deles. Ao final, traz pistas de investigação para posteriores estudos sobre startups jornalísticas e transformações inovadoras no mercado da comunicação. Frequently confused with "entrepreneurial journalism" or "freelance journalism," the so-called "startup journalism" displays in its name some characteristics still not deeply explored in the scientific literature. The purpose of this article is to map the differences, similarities, and particularities of these statements, reflecting on how the idea of innovation is presented in each of them. In the end, it brings in some research clues for further studies on journalism startups and innovative transformations in the communication market.

Author Biography

Daniela Bertocchi, Universidade de São Paulo

Doutora em Ciências da Comunicação pela ECA-USP (2014), mestre em Informação e Jornalismo pela Universidade do Minho, Portugal (2007). Graduou-se em Jornalismo pela UMESP (1997). Trabalhou como repórter, editora e diretora nas principais empresas de mídia do Brasil. É professora convidada do curso de pós-graduação Digicorp (ECA-USP). Integra o corpo de pesquisadores do grupo de pesquisa COM+ da ECA-USP. --- Daniela Bertocchi is a Brazilian journalist with Ph.D. in Digital Communications (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Master in Journalism and Information (University of Minho, Portugal). She had been working at the largest media companies in Brazil and also have international experience in Portugal, Spain, and Morocco. Graduated in Journalism at the Methodist University of São Paulo, Daniela works currently for a startup company in Sao Paulo as a head of communications. She is also a Researcher and Professor of Digital Communications Strategies at Digicorp course at the University of Sao Paulo. ---
