Drawing on recent cases, such as algorithmic pornography and deepfakes, it evidences the disproportionate impact of digital violence on women and minorities. It also examines the manosphere and other misogynistic radicalization environments, highlighting the structural complicity of platforms.
Marian Blanco Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Feminismos https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/69337 Tue, 25 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0000 INFORMATION VIOLENCE IN ACCESS TO CARE SERVICES FOR WOMEN IN MADRID, SPAIN https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/69080
This article addresses informational violence as a structural device of oppression that compromises women's effective use of services in situations of violence. It aims to analyze how this type of violence manifests itself in women's access to these services in the city of Madrid, Spain. The exploratory, qualitative research used an online questionnaire online, targeted at women living in Madrid, to collect and analyze data. The results indicate structural information barriers, such as the use of technical language, lack of active listening, lack of an intersectional approach, and lack of coordination between services, which affect women regardless of their educational level. It concludes that informational violence operates silently to promote institutional exclusion, compromising access to rights and perpetuating inequalities. It recommends intersectional training for professionals, the production of accessible materials, and the inclusion of women in the design of care services in order to strengthen the care system.
Bruna Lessa Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Feminismos https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/69080 Tue, 25 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0000 SISTEMAS DE ORGANIZAÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO: NOMEANDO CRIMES DE VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A MULHER COM O USO DE ONTOLOGIAS https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/69079
In Brazil, between 2024 and 2025, approximately 23.5 million Brazilian women suffered some type of violence. Recording these incidents, carried out through the National Risk Assessment Form (FoNAR), has terminological limitations that compromise the accuracy of reports and the quality of subsequent analyses. With Information Science providing strategic support to Police Science, this research proposes the use of Knowledge Organization Systems as a terminological control tool for completing the FoNAR. Applying the METHODOE and using the GSSO ontology, specialized thesauri, and a Brazilian legal corpus as a basis, the Ontology of Violence against Women (OntoVcM) was constructed. The model aims to reduce ambiguities, qualify records, facilitate interoperability between police systems, and improve crime classification, in addition to supporting more accurate statistics and guiding public policies for prevention, protection, and support.
Rochelle Martins Alvorcem Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Feminismos https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/69079 Tue, 25 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0000 URGÊNCIAS EM DADOS: ACERVOS, ANÁLISES E METODOLOGIAS NOS ESTUDOS SOBRE FEMINICÍDIOS NO BRASIL https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/70746
Feminicide is defined as the murder of women due to their gender condition, constituting a serious violation of Human Rights (Caicedo-Roa; Bandeira; Cordeiro, 2022). In Brazil, Law nº 13.104/15 classified the conduct as a qualifying circumstance for the crime of homicide, and Law nº 8.072/90 was amended to include feminicide in the list of heinous crimes. Although the legislative effort is important, there are several obstacles to its application, from conceptual disputes to the sexism rooted in society, which currently kills, on average, 04 women per day (LESFEM, 2024). In this context, the Feminicide Studies Laboratory (LESFEM) emerged with the proposal to work on the production and analysis of data on feminicides, collaborating with society and the State in combating violence against women and girls. In order to overcome obstacles to the implementation of relevant legislation, and increase access to quality data, these must be interpreted based on research from a gender perspective. This article proposes to present the theoretical framework that values the production of feminist science, as well as to analyze the methodological research choices made by LESFEM. The aim is, therefore, to collaborate in the construction of possible paths, based on feminist scientific production, to implement public policies and promote a culture of peace. There is an urgent need to develop methodologies that unify data, enable intersectional analyses, and establish effective recommendations for confronting and preventing gender-based violence.
Gabriela Maria Pinho Lins Vergolino, Flávia Nogueira Gomes, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon Cavalcanti Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Feminismos https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/70746 Tue, 25 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0000 DAS RAÍZES COLONIAIS À EXPLORAÇÃO CONTEMPORÂNEA DE MULHERES NA AMÉRICA LATINA https://revbaianaenferm.ufba.br/index.php/feminismos/article/view/70823
The article examines how the legacies of colonialism remain embedded in contemporary forms of exploitation of women’s bodies in Latin America. Through a qualitative and documentary approach, with an exploratory and analytical-critical character, the study analyzes recent news reports (2023–2025) that address cases of sexual tourism, human trafficking, digital exploitation, and labor conditions analogous to slavery. Grounded in feminist, Marxist, and decolonial theoretical frameworks, the analysis seeks to understand how patriarchy, racism, and capitalism operate as interconnected dimensions of the same system of domination. The findings indicate that the violence and objectification of women’s bodies are not isolated phenomena, but manifestations of a colonial matrix of power that persists and is reshaped within the dynamics of neoliberal capitalism.
