Abstract

O presente trabalho é uma parte de uma pesquisa maior que visa entender as ações em prol do empoderamento de mulheres participantes de uma comunidade de software livre no Brasil. Busco identificar e entender as percepções destas mulheres em relação ao movimento de mulheres, ao feminismo e às suas atuações ativistas em relação às Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação (TICs). São apresentados alguns resultados referentes à observação e análise do grupo “/MNT - Mulheres na Tecnologia”, que demonstram como o grupo vem desenvolvendo a sua consciência militante e feminista, buscando alterar os convencionais padrões androcêntricos da área das Tecnologias da Informação (TI).

Mônica de Sá Dantas Paz, GIGA/UFBA

Doutora (2015) e mestre (2010) pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Comunicação e Cultura Contemporâneas (PósCom/UFBA), na linha de pesquisa sobre Cibercultura. Bacharel em Ciência da Computação (2007) pelo DCC/UFBA. Fez estágio doutoral na Universidade de Barcelona-ES (2013).
