Abstract

This text presents the conceptual and theoretical frame of a research dedicated to the study of the ordinary man’s multiple figurations in the Brazilian docu¬mentary during the last fifteen years. It demonstrates how they are opposed to the growing spectacularization of the everyday life promoted by the different television genres.
