Abstract

This work aims to follow certain consequences of the theory of social discourse (or social semiotics), as formulated by eliseo véron, in the mid-70’s. we pretend to trace the pathways of these concepts, in their historical meaning and outline (insofar they don’t lose their internal coherence), as also in the points of escape that allow these concepts to detach and to mix themselves, and to feed and to grow likewise. Our idea is to present this map of theoretical filiations, and observe how to recognize this theory and dimension it as a theory of reception. In such a paradoxical way that the reading of concrete social discourses is, in some way, the confrontation of the theory with its own foundations.
