A crítica ao cinema brasileiro atual: a retórica das revistas Veja e Bravo!

O artigo expõe os resultados de um estudo retórico-comparativo de críticas de cinema, sobre filmes brasileiros, publicadas nas revistas Veja e Bravo! entre os anos de 1997 e 2004. Apesar de instituições distintas, as publicações empregaram recursos argumentativos similares para convencer o leitor com avaliações estéticas predominantemente positivas das obras recentes do cinema nacional. Entretanto, a revista Bravo! apresentou uma retórica mais fortemente persuasiva que a revista Veja. O diálogo entre a retórica e a crítica jornalística demarcou a discussão a respeito dos métodos de interpretação e construção de significado na crítica de filmes.Downloads
