Abstract

Considerando o WikiLeaks o maior fator potencialmente transformador do jornalismo nos últimos anos, este artigo discute a emergência de novas condições de operação para os jornalistas. Questionando os parentescos entre o WikiLeaks e o jornalismo, propõe uma reflexão sobre as mudanças nas relações entre fontes, jornalistas e atores não propriamente jornalísticos; sobre as mudanças na técnica e na ética jornalística; sobre provocações ético-profissionais que o WikiLeaks traz para o jornalismo. O artigo ainda sinaliza que o WikiLeaks – exemplo exuberante do cruzamento e conformação entre a ética hacker e a deontologia jornalística – inaugura uma tendência crescente e irreversível de parceiras que podem auxiliar no processo de desvendamento de informações de interesse público.
