Abstract

A partir do discurso dos próprios cidadãos, apreendido através de uma série de grupos de discussão, este artigo propõe uma releitura das categorias de situações de comunicação identificadas anteriormente (Aldé, 2004) à luz da nova realidade de circulação da informação online. A proposta é verificar a pertinência dos perfis Ávido, Assíduo, Consumidor de escândalos, Frustrado e Desinformado para indivíduos com acesso amplo à internet. Constatamos que a internet não substitui, mas se superpõe aos meios anteriores, vendo-se apropriada de formas específicas por usuários com diferentes interesses e perfis de uso. Analisando as características de cidadãos que fazem da internet um uso rotineiro, não especializado, o presente trabalho aponta para a adaptação e complexificação das categorias anteriores.
