Brazil is one of the top destinations of Palestinian migrants. Starting from that, in 2017, has been released “The Brazilian Palestine”, a documentary that presents Palestinian families living in the south of Brazil. Using the Critical Discourse Analysis, and articulating conflicts, recognition, legitimacy, identity, culture, oppression, aggression, and migratory projects, this work aimed to problematize the relation between the socio-politics contexts of the families’ discourses and the documentary. It was possible to formulate some questions about the autonomy and control senses that go through a people and a territory controlled by another State.
