Confronting disinformation and the negative impacts of the platformization of journalism requires multiple integrated approaches aimed at restoring the credibility of news in the digital ecosystem. This theoretical article aims to identify and analyze journalistic strategies that contribute to mitigating disinformation via content production practices. The study is based on a literature review that identified four thematic axes for combating disinformation: (i) journalistic production, (ii) fact-checking, (iii) education and prevention, and (iv) technology and regulation. The analysis focuses on the first axis, journalistic production, highlighting four emerging strategies: metajournalism, news influencers, solutions journalism, and local journalism. The findings indicate that these practices contribute to strengthening transparency, fostering proximity to audiences, and promoting journalism’s credibility, thus offering promising paths for confronting disinformation and rebuilding social trust in the media.
