O objetivo deste artigo é investigar a representação da cidade contemporânea nos filmes de Wong Kar-Wai a partir da dialética entre a permanência e o deslocamento dos seus personagens. A presença deste duplo foco, que se configura no contraste entre transitoriedade e permanência dos personagens, nos revela, na relação dos personagens com a cidade, alguns dos grandes dilemas do homem contemporâneo. No cinema de Wong Kar-Wai são os personagens que viabilizam a constituição do espaço diegético através dos deslocamentos da câmera que os acompanha em sua errância e também do seu olhar, que recorta este espaço e lhe atribui novos significados.Downloads
