Abstract

O artigo tem por objetivo discutir as categorias de auto-reflexividade, coerência expres- siva e performance, em diálogo com Giddens, Goffman e outros autores da perspectiva do interacionismo simbólico, partindo da premissa de que estas são categorias-chave para o entendimento do processo comunicativo e de construção identitária que ocorre nos sites de redes sociais. Busca-se, desta maneira, por um lado, refletir criticamente sobre algumas perspectivam que duvidam do potencial semiótico e interacional dos sites de redes sociais; e por outro, contribuir para o refinamento das ferramentas de análise deste sub-campo de estudos.
