Abstract

The article proposes a discussion on public policies of Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) of Mercosur and integration with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), demonstrating the contributions to the economic, social and environmental development of the region and its innovative character to promote sustainability related to the economy, science, technology and environment. It reports on the implementation of policies related to Mercosur, the execution of agreements between the countries of the region, which is of paramount importance for economic growth, and the promotion of the region in ST&I. It reports the trajectory of creation and its main characteristics, outlining a timeline with the definition of its main objective and the social and economic themes. The treaty focuses on tax reduction, logistics optimization, and regional and international development. Currently, there are specialized commissions, delegate political and climate agendas and the implementation of ESG in commerce and industry, aiming to optimize their internal processes and profitability in South America.

Márcia Cibelle Pontes Batista, Universidade do Estado do Amazonas

Master's student in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation at the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA). Bachelor's degree in Library Science from the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC) of the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM (2009). Graduating in Production Engineering (2021 - 2025)- Claretian University Center of Batatais - São Paulo (2017). She worked in the Coordination of Accountability at the Regional Council of Librarianship - CRB 11 (Management 2011/2014). Head of the Library, Technical Documentation Service and General Archive of the National Service for Commercial Learning of the Senac Amazonas Regional Department.

Kátia Lima de Sousa, Universidade do Estado do Amazonas

Biologist graduated from the Federal Institute of Amazonas, Specialist in Environmental Management with Emphasis on Environmental Expertise and Auditing, Local Innovation Agent - ALI SEBRAE (2022), experience in Fish Parasitology, Aquaculture and Fish Farming. Currently a master's student in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer - PROFNIT at the University of Amazonas - UEA (2023-2025).

Allan Jonathan Menezes de Oliveira, Universidade do Estado do Amazonas

holds a degree in Graphic Design from Faculdade Metropolitana de Manaus (2015) and a specialization in Electronic Games Development from the University of the State of Amazonas (2018).He has experience in the area of Industrial Design, with an emphasis on Visual Programming.

Rosa Maria Nascimento dos Santos, Universidade do Estado do Amazonas

He holds a degree in Meteorology from the Federal University of Alagoas (1995), a master's degree in Agronomy (Physics of the Agricultural Environment) from the University of São Paulo (1998) and a PhD in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (2005). Between May 2005 and July 2006 he carried out postdoctoral research at the graduate program in Agricultural Meteorology, Dept. of Agricultural Engineering, at the Federal University of Viçosa. And between 2007 and 2008, she worked as a DCR project coordinator at INPA/LBA. She is currently a professor of the Meteorology Course at the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA) and at PPG-CLIAMB, developing research projects in partnership with INPA, UFAM, INPE, CTA, USP, among others. Between 2012 and 2013, fShe is also a Full Professor and Vice-Coordinator of the Master's Program, in Network, in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation - PROFNIT-UEA, in which she is responsible for the discipline of "Public Policies of Science, Technology and Innovation", and collaborates with the discipline of "Technological Prospection", in addition to developing projects in the areas of innovation management, innovative entrepreneurship, and Science, Technology and Innovation policies. He has experience in the field of Geosciences, with emphasis on Meteorology and Agrometeorology, working mainly on the following topics: Atmospheric Boundary Layer (experimental part and modeling), biosphere-atmosphere interaction and modeling of agroforestry systems, and Climate. As well as in the management of scientific and technological research projects.
