Impacts of the Technolago Incubator on the Formation of the Innovation Ecosystem in Tucuruí, Pará, Brazil

Abstract

Business Incubators have been the subject of studies in recent years, due to their structure providing support for innovative entrepreneurship and facilitating the creation and development of companies for activities focused on innovation. Since 2019, the Incubator of Parque Tecnolago has contributed to the promotion of innovation in the region of Tucuruí-PA. Therefore, the objective of this study was to verify the functioning and some impacts that the incubator has had on the local innovation ecosystem. To this end, the methodology considers bibliographic, documentary, exploratory and descriptive research. Thus, in relation to the approach to the problem, the research is characterized as qualitative, whose data collection was carried out through field research with semi-structured interviews. Thus, this research allows a better understanding of the dynamics of the functioning of the Business Incubator of Parque Tecnolago and casts an eye on its role in the ecosystem. As a managerial contribution, there is a need for improvements in the physical and technological infrastructure. From an academic perspective, the study synthesizes and organizes knowledge and identifies a gap in the literature on the formation of innovation ecosystems in the Amazon, allowing access to information for researchers, professionals and interested parties in general.
