Abstract

Cultural Policies in the Progressive Cycle, a book compiled by Álvaro de Giorgi and with articles by various researchers, has just been published. The work, right from the title, advances its purpose of being a critical review of the actions and programmes put into practice in the period 2005-2020 in Uruguay, the so-called progressive cycle in which the left and centre-left coalition Frente Amplio governed. It includes articles by de Giorgi himself, and by Paula Simonetti, Deborah Duarte, Pablo Gatti and Eduardo Álvarez.
