ABSTRACT: This critical review examines the 2024 report Cultura e Clima, which presents a synthesis of evidence on the intersection between cultural policy and climate change. Based on a participatory methodology, the report highlights the central role of culture in climate action and advocates for the construction of cultural governance to address environmental crises. The text systematizes findings on climate impacts in the cultural sector, institutional and financial barriers, and the value of local initiatives and traditional knowledge as transformative agents. This review assesses the methodological design, identifies key gaps, and discusses the report’s relevance for policymakers and researchers engaged with cultural strategies for climate justice and sustainable development.
