Cultural Policies in Brazil (2002-2016) and their consequences for territorial planning
A systematic literature review

The article presents a systematic literature review on public cultural policies in Brazil between 2002 and 2016, with an emphasis on the interaction of these policies with the territory and their implications for territorial planning. The method adopted involves the selection, reading, and analysis of peer-reviewed articles in Portuguese, available through the CAPES Portal. The study aims to present the main contemporary reflections in Brazil regarding the relationship between cultural policies and their repercussions for territorial planning, as well as the practical consequences for urban and local development. The objective is to understand the state of the art of academic production investigating the influence of these policies on territorial development during the analyzed period, identifying possible gaps in the field of planning within architecture and urbanism.
