PPG-AU/FAUFBA Seminar – 40 Years

Abstract

This text presents the speech delivered by José Carlos Huapaya Espinoza (FAUFBA) on the first day of the PPG-AU/FAUFBA Seminar – 40 Years, held in Salvador on October 30, 2023, in honor of Professor Marco Aurélio Andrade de Filgueiras Gomes, former coordinator of the program and also his graduate mentor. The address revisits the professor’s trajectory, highlighting his intellectual influence, his contributions to urban studies at multiple scales, and his central role in consolidating the PPG-AU Doctoral Program.
