The text is a transcription of the author's statement in the panel “Architecture, urbanism and the city as interpreted by the sexualized body” of the Colóquio Cidades Sexuadas. José Carlos Huapaya Espinoza presents the historical research that we see developing at FAUFBA based on the careers of architects trained in the institution between 1960 and 1969. Through surveys in institutional archives and personal collections, the research shows important contribution of these professionals in historiography of Bahia, in the face of challenges such as discrimination in gender, few female references and the concentration of female activity in public urban planning.
