MULTIFACETED ANALYSIS: SEARCHING A CLASSIFICATION FOR THEATRE

Abstract

The goal of this work was to develop a multifaceted classification system for theatre. After a survey of the classification types, done to proceed the treatment and organization of the Search Center and Memory Theatre of Galpão Cine Horto, was verified the necessity to develop a system that represent the specific character and complexity of the theatre. Thus, first it was done a critical analysis of the actual systems to classify theater issues and after, a literature review about the theory evolution of the classification systems. A field description was done to present its peculiarities and to understand the theoretic production process. Based on the terms that characterize theatre as specific area of knowledge, it was possible to propose a classification system to represent their different facets.
