Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- File Format: The text must be submitted in an editable format (.doc or .docx), with a maximum size of 2MB.
- Length: The main text of articles must contain between 40,000 and 60,000 characters (including spaces). It is important to emphasise that this limit does not include the following elements: abstracts in Portuguese and English (or other languages, where applicable), keywords, bibliographic references, tables, figures, and their captions. The character count must exclusively consider the main body of the text, covering the introduction, development, and conclusion.
- Submission System: All contributions must be submitted exclusively via the Electronic Journal Publishing System (SEER).
- Title: Must be concise, specific, and descriptive. Titles must be provided in both Portuguese and English.
- Abstract: The abstract, limited to 250 words, must be written in a single paragraph and include: the objective, theoretical framework, methodology (where applicable), key results, and conclusions. Abstracts must be provided in Portuguese and English.
- Keywords: Include 3 to 5 keywords in Portuguese and English.
- Abbreviations and Acronyms: Their use is recommended when conventional. They must be standardised, defined in full at first mention, followed by the acronym in parentheses.
- Acknowledgements: Mentions of financial support or collaborators should be included in a dedicated section at the end of the article.
- Explanatory Notes: Must appear as footnotes on the corresponding page.
- Figures and Tables: Should be inserted in the body of the text only when essential for understanding. Images must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Source attribution is mandatory for reproduced materials.
- References: Must be formatted according to ABNT NBR 6023/2020, listed at the end of the text. Information from personal communications or unpublished works should be cited in footnotes, not included in the references.
- Appendices: Are not published by the journal.
- Mandatory Standardisation: Articles must fully comply with the Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) norms, as specified: NBR 6022/2018 (Scientific article in periodical publications), NBR 10520/2023 (Citations), NBR 6023/2025 (References), NBR 5892/2019 (Time representation and formats), NBR 6028/2021 (Abstracts), NBR 6024/2012 (Progressive numbering), as well as the IBGE/1993 Tabular Presentation Standard.
