A REUTILIZAÇÃO DE DADOS EM PESQUISA QUALITATIVA: DADOS ANTIGOS GERAM NOVOS INSIGHTS SOBRE A ECONOMIA CRIATIVA EM CONTEXTO EXTREMO

Abstract

During a research on Creative Economy, in Uberlândia, the researchers came across an unexpected and inevitable event: the impact of Covid-19 pandemic not only in the musical activity, but also in the research activity. Considering that the reuse of data can lead to new findings, we revisited the corpus with a new objective: to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the work of musicians in Uberlândia. This research is qualitative, applying Thematic Analysis in the revisited corpus, which is composed of interviews with 11 musicians, resulting in the following thematic categories: the challenge of change; scarcity of resources and support; the unbearable losses. The results show that the interviewed musicians interpreted work in the field of music as an extreme context, whose activities, commonly driven by joy, with the pandemic, came to be threatened by insecurity, instability and fear. Additionally, the research identified the emergence of a solidarity network amidst the extreme context.
