NEGÓCIOS DE IMPACTO SOCIAL DE SALVADOR - BAHIA NO CONTEXTO DO COVID-19: UM ESTUDO SOBRE AS IMPLICAÇÕES NO MODELO DE NEGÓCIO

Social impact businesses correspond to those whose core activity offers a solution to a social or environmental problem, operate through the logic of the market seeking financial return and have indicators to monitor their impact. The number of social impact businesses has grown in Brazil, focusing on various social and environmental issues, as well as studies focused on this topic. The purpose of this article was to investigate the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic on the business models of social impact businesses in the city of Salvador-Bahia. For this, a qualitative approach study was carried out with social impact businesses in Salvador-Bahia, using the multiple case study method. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured electronic questionnaire applied to managers. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis criteria. The main results of the study indicate that the pandemic scenario brought several impacts to the businesses studied, from a drop in collection to an increase in the customer base.
