O templo egípcio como documento e as relações do espaço com as narrativas faraônicas: o exemplo de Karnak
Abstract
We seek to demonstrate the documentary character of monumental Egyptian architecture for archaeology, using the Karnak Temple, in Egypt, as our main source, based on the relationships between this space and the pharaonic narratives intended for the current political moment. To this end, we use the reign of Seti I as a time frame. This article was developed from one of the chapters of the master's dissertation entitled “The Hypostyle Hall of Karnak: an exegetical essay on pharaonic power and its symbols”, defended at the National Museum of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in March 2023.Downloads
