Abstract

O artigo se propõe a discutir o conceito de performance, a partir da perspectiva de Paul Zumthor e de Simon Frith, como base para a análise de videoclipes. O intuito é reconhecer a complexidade que a noção de performance possui e realizar um enquadramento conceitual para o tratamento discursivo de expressões do terreno musical. Postula-se que o videoclipe é uma camada performática sobre a canção que o origina possibilitando o reconhecimento de corporalidades que se traduzem em disposições audiovisuais. Videoclipes seriam, portanto, materializações de gestos, formas de dançar e agir dos corpos dos artistas que os originam.
