This article analyzes the epistemic erasure of Indigenous peoples in the context of the climate crisis, emphasizing how their traditional knowledge has been systematically marginalized by environmental public policies. Drawing on a decolonial perspective and analyzing both audiovisual productions and contemporary media practices, the study examines how Indigenous communicators build counter-narratives of resistance and reexistence. The concept of ethnogenesis is employed to understand how identity symbols are rearticulated through digital platforms, social media, and visual languages. The aim is to demonstrate that these communicative strategies are essential not only for the recognition of Indigenous epistemologies but also for the development of more just and plural environmental policies. Methodologically, the work is grounded in interdisciplinary documentary and bibliographic analysis. It concludes that strengthening Indigenous media is vital for climate justice and the dismantling of epistemicide.
