It's estimated that 2% of the Brazilian population identifies as transgender, while the country experienced its 15th year (2023) as the leader in trans murders. Ordinance No. 2,836/2011 established the National Comprehensive Health Policy for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals within the Unified Health System, highlighting the social vulnerability of this population. Based on this legislation, it is imperative to debate trans health in Brazil. This is a narrative review of the literature on the challenges of gynecological care for trans men, carried out between August and December 2023, by searching the PubMed, SciELO and Scholar Google databases, with the aim of understanding the challenges of gynecological care for these men. The themes highlighted are: discrimination based on gender identity, lack of professional knowledge, the clinic environment and access to health systems. From this theoretical basis, recommendations are made for professionals.
