This article is the result of research on the impact of the fourth feminist wave on cis heterosexual men in the city of Mar del Plata (Argentina). It seeks to contribute to the research that the field of masculinities has been producing, which warns of oscillations between masculinist reactions, cynicism, imposture, bewilderment and depatriarchalisation. Based on interviews with men, it dialogues with these productions, addressing questions related to their representations of feminisms; their links with feminist women; and their notions of "patriarchy", "machismo" and "male privilege". The findings reveal heterogeneous and recursive perceptions, starting by confirming feminism as an unavoidable interlocutor, identifying morally acceptable and questionable versions, as well as circumscribing structural gender violence to the actions of "macho men", rarely recognising themselves in any dominant position.
