Notice to reviewers of Periódicus journal
Dear reviewers,
The editorial team of Periódicus journal hereby reaffirms the fundamental importance of each and every one of your contributions to maintaining and strengthening the editorial work we have been developing for over a decade. Peer review is an essential pillar of scientific activity, ensuring the quality, legitimacy, and academic rigor of the publications that make up our journal.
In recent months, we have identified a recurring problem in the OJS (Open Journal Systems) system, which has been directing messages sent by the editorial team to the Spam or Junk Mail folder. Unfortunately, this is a system failure over which we have no control. In view of this, we kindly ask you to periodically access the journal's system to check for pending editorial tasks and, above all, to update your profile by checking the “Notifications” tab to ensure that you receive future communications.
We also reiterate the importance of meeting the deadlines for accepting and evaluating submissions, as punctuality in this process is crucial to ensuring the fluidity and efficiency of our editorial calendar.
This notice is being sent to all individuals registered in the journal's system. If anyone—whether a reader, reviewer, or contributor—wishes to have their profile deleted, please send an email to revistaperiodicus@ufba.br
requesting deletion. We are conducting a task force to update registrations, with the aim of keeping our records up to date and communication more efficient.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to everyone who has contributed to Periódicus throughout its 11 years of existence. Thanks to the commitment of our community of reviewers, authors, and readers, we have achieved a prominent position in the dissemination of research in the field of gender, sexuality, and intersectionality studies, consolidating our Qualis A3 classification by CAPES.
With our sincere thanks,
Editorial Team
