Abstract

O objetivo deste texto é discutir alguns aspectos da história de vida de um trans homem, ressaltando pontos que têm marcado a experiência de ser um homem transexual no Brasil. Retomando
questões ligadas à saúde e outros temas, destaca as suas experiências como escritor e como ativista dos direitos humanos, principalmente no que tange à despatologização da transexualidade e à possibilidade de mudança do nome civil. Por fim, chama a atenção para a necessidade de melhor preparo dos profissionais da educação e da saúde para o trato com essa população.
