A invenção discursiva da mulher histérica: uma imersão no filme Augustine

Considerando a materialidade fílmica e suas construções simbólicas, que levam ao estabelecimento de significados e interpretações no plano da subjetividade, o conceito de dispositivo de Michel Foucault que aponta para práticas difusas e heterogêneas que englobam discursos, instituições, arquiteturas, enunciados científicos, mensurações, regulamentações, ou seja, o dito e o não dito em redes de poder, tensionamos algumas problematizações dentro de uma análise discursiva da produção Augustine (2012), buscando discutir: a) o corpo feminino como objeto de investigação médica; b) a representação da histeria em aparatos de registro na produção de verdades sobre a sexualidade feminina; c) a objetificação da feminilidade em práticas médicas, os aparatos não discursivos e a invasão do corpo feminino. Longe de dispor uma única interpretação para o filme, as análises são provocações que criticam o exercício do poder institucional e do discurso médico-psiquiátrico para, num sentido foucaultiano, evidenciar relações de poder que foram exercidas no processo de psiquiatrização e histerização na construção de gênero e feminilidades.Downloads
