Questões de gênero e sexualidade: implicações na docência

Abstract

O presente artigo foi elaborado de acordo com os preceitos de um estudo exploratório de revisão de literatura. O artigo apresenta como objetivos investigar a epistemologia dos conceitos de gênero e sexualidade, a relevância da discussão destes temas no ambiente escolar e acadêmico, assim como a problemática da discriminação. Pode verificar-se que, no prisma científico, existem diferenças entre os termos sexo, gênero e orientação sexual e que estes não se influenciam diretamente. Simultaneamente, percebeu-se a existência da necessidade de trabalhar gênero nas escolas e faculdades de forma adaptada às faixas etárias, com o intuito de tornar o sistema educativo mais inclusivo e pautado pelo respeito, dignidade, proteção contra as violências e equidade para todos/as.
