Heterotopias do (in)desejável: conjugando espaços e sexualidades a partir da fotografia de Alair Gomes

Abstract

Neste artigo, tenho como objetivo discutir as relações entre espaço e sexualidades dissidentes, com foco no homoerotismo masculino, a partir da fotografia de Alair Gomes (1921 – 1992), artista considerado o percussor do homoerotismo na fotografia brasileira. Elegi para análise fragmentos da série Beach., realizada ao longo das décadas de 1960 e 1980 na praia de Ipanema, no Rio de Janeiro. Entendo que Alair, por meio da sua “escritura fotográfica”, imaginou uma nova conjugação entre espaço e sexualidades dissidentes como campos de possível, criando assim, o que chamarei de heterotopias do (in)desejável.

Psicólogo e Mestre em Psicologia, na área de Psicologia e Sociedade, ambos pela Faculdade de Ciências e Letras da Universidade Estadual Paulista, UNESP-Assis, São Paulo.
