Abstract

Taking the body as a textuality that can be seen in the encounter with others through performances and their inscriptions of race, gender, sexuality, gestures, movements and costumes, a party becomes a powerful space-time phenomenon for observing the harmonious and disharmonious relationships of sharing through which worlds of truly unique meanings touch, ignite and celebrate. In this sense, based on the experience of one of the authors at a techno-junior party, we seek to reflect in this text on the different bodies that meet at the event from the point of view of the notion of stigma discussed by Goffman (2008).
