Abstract

This article is part of a master's degree research, which aimed to analyze political discourses around the dissident uses of pleasures and their influence on public policies in Brazil between 2018 and 2022. Therefore, this is a review, which aimed to check which academic investigations have already been carried out on the topic and scientifically support the dissertation discussions. For the present review, 12 articles were selected and analyzed from the lens of Michel Foucault. The results found pointed to the extreme polarization of Brazilian politics in recent years, in which discourses surrounding the use of the body and pleasures remained central, facilitating the strengthening of an environment of moral panic. Under these conditions, the speeches of conservative right-wing politicians, with the support of the traditional family, contribute to the cycle of exclusion and make it difficult for dissident bodies to access basic social rights.
