Los jóvenes de Carlos Correas: la invención de una “comunidad” en el Buenos Aires pre-gay

El presente artículo propone una lectura del la nouvelle “Los jóvenes” del escritor argentino Carlos Correas, escrita en 1953 pero que se mantuvo inédita hasta 2012. Correas, pionero en el tratamiento de la temática homoerótica en la narrativa latinoamericana, presenta en esta obra un ejemplo de pequeña “comunidad” homosexual. Con todas las limitaciones del caso -incluida la censura sufrida por el propio texto- resulta evidente la existencia, en el Buenos Aires de mediados del siglo XX, de una incipiente subcultura de “diferentes sexuales” que hacían un uso estratégico del espacio urbano. Se ofrece, entonces, un análisis de la nouvelle atento a las particularidades históricas del devenir “homosexual” en la metrópoli porteña.Downloads
