Abstract

Objective: to identify NANDA-I nursing diagnoses in critically ill patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and on hemodialysis Methods: this is a cross-sectional and descriptive research, investigating patients at a university hospital in Minas Gerais between 2020 and 2021. Of the 595 initial patients, 61 were included in the sample. The data analyzed based on Wanda Aguiar Horta's Theory were examined descriptively, determining absolute and relative frequencies, with 95% confidence intervals. Results: 49 diagnoses were obtained distributed across eight domains. The prevalent Nursing Diagnoses were Excessive fluid volume, Impaired skin integrity, Impaired comfort, Ineffective breathing pattern, Impaired physical mobility, Risk of infection and Risk of pressure injury. Conclusion: the formulation of the diagnostic profile using the NANDA-I taxonomy allows the standardization of language among nursing professionals and facilitates clinical practice, teaching, research and management in intensive care units.
