Abstract

Termites play essential ecological roles in terrestrial ecosystems, but some species are significant pests in urban, agricultural, and forest environments. This study investigates the current state of drywood termite control technologies, with a focus on recent advances applied to agriculture and integrated pest management. Through a patent analysis on The Lens database, 186 documents were identified, highlighting the genera Cryptotermes, Coptotermes, and Nasutitermes. Most patents are classified under categories A01N, A01P, and C12N. After detailed analysis, 59 documents were selected, of which 44 address chemical control, one combines chemical and biological control, eight address biological control, two address behavioral control, and four address genetic control.
