She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires - Argentina, a master's degree in Ecology from the National Institute for Amazonian Research and completed her PhD in Freshwater Biology and Inland Fisheries from the National Institute for Amazonian Research in 1999. From 2001 to 2004 she was Director of Training at the Center for Environmental Sciences at the Federal University of Amazonas. She was Director of Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University of Amazonas from 2005 to 2009. From 2012 to 2017 she was the Technical and Scientific Director of the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation - FAPEAM. She was Director of Innovation Management, Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at UFAM. She has extensive experience in postgraduate evaluation and monitoring, international scientific cooperation, management of research and innovation networks, public funding for research and innovation, public management of S, T & I, preparation of public notices for S, T & I and strategic management. She is a full professor at the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM. In her research, she works in the area of ​​Ecotoxicology and Environmental and Human Risk Assessment in tropical regions, with an emphasis on pesticides and Environmental Impact Assessment.
