Her:
the cyborg theory and psychoanalytic reflections on gender binarism

Based on the movie Her, by Spike Jonze, this paper analyzes the concept of gender from the contributions of
specialists in the field of feminist studies and gender. Considering that knowledge is always partial and situated, as indicated by Donna Haraway, this article offers a possible reading for the movie. To this end, it works as a trigger for the categories
“man” and “woman,” which are put into perspective inspired by the cyborg proposition. The structuralist binarism that permeates gender relations is problematized, extending this analysis to the Psychoanalytical scope of and proposing alternative views that aim to break through this logic.
