The movie Alice Júnior (2019) has shown that it contains cultural pedagogies that can inspire us to educate young people about sexuality. For this section, we analyzed certain scenes and discussed how we can use this cultural artifact for educational practices. Through the analysis and discussion, we realize that we are challenged to problematize how our bodies, genders and sexualities can subvert cis-heterosexual norms and thus, as a power of life, allow us to imagine and build other ways of being. This is because it is possible to think of ways of relating without violence. The film seems to us to be an opportune moment to highlight certain inequalities that socially, culturally and historically have positioned some subjects in situations of suffering, as well as inviting us to promote discussions on education for sexualities with young people who may be able to consider the social markers of difference.
