Abstract

This qualitative scientific initiation research investigates, through an intersectional analysis, individual, social and programmatic vulnerabilities of users of the institutional shelter service for homeless women, also debating some of the coping strategies articulated by them in their daily lives. Initially, a bibliographical review was carried out and, secondly, upon approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the State University of Londrina as well as authorization of participants the investigation followed the methodological perspective of participatory research, with the in order to experience part of the activities carried out in the daily life of the aforementioned public service and, mainly, to articulate knowledge in dialogue with the sheltered women. Finally, in the final considerations, self-definition strategies that users articulate as resistance to stereotypes linked to homelessness are analyzed.
