Abstract

In the midst of the enterprises of contestation and insubmission to mononormativity, there are relational and affective insurgent categories that invoke “free love”. However, the effort to counter the imperative of monogamy, to decolonize affectivities and move towards an artesania of affections, runs into the constraints imposed by modernity/ coloniality itself. For this reason, I seek to interpret broader opinions and experiences on the subject, exploring even the possible disputes in the plane of everyday life about the senses and meanings attributed to monogamy and non-monogamy that emerge from the narratives on YouTube. The interpretation of the discourses was based on the hermeneutic phenomenology of Paul Ricoeur in the light of the dialogue established with references that deal with love and relational configurations, such as, among others: Geni Núñez, Brigitte Vasallo, bell hooks, Duina Porto, Antonio Pilão and Rhuann Lima Fernandes Porto.
