A CIRCULAÇÃO DE AFETOS NA INTERFACE ENTRE A SOCIOLOGIA DA SAÚDE E DAS EMOÇÕES

Este artigo apresenta um enquadramento epistemológico e teórico-metodológico na interface entre a Sociologia da Saúde e a Sociologia das Emoções. Busca-se construir um argumento sobre o lugar da dimensão afetiva no processo saúde-doença e, concomitantemente, uma proposta teórico-metodológica para o estudo dos afetos e emoções nessa área de pesquisa social. Argumenta-se que o estudo dos afetos é relevante para problemas característicos da pesquisa em saúde, nomeadamente, o impacto de marcadores sociais como classe, gênero, raça no processo saúde-doença, as particularidades das interações entre profissionais de saúde, pacientes e seus entes queridos, e a relação entre emoção e trabalho de cuidado em saúde. Por fim, conclui-se que a Sociologia da Saúde pode ser renovada e enriquecida do ponto de vista teórico-metodológico por um diálogo continuado com as teorias sociais dos afetos e das emoções.
