Abstract

This study is the result of an investigative analysis, the objective of which is to list, based on legal grounds and ethical standards, the obstacles linked to the process of transgenitalization in the context of supplementary health, given the current regulatory status of the norm. Therefore, the impacts resulting from the lack of normative discipline around the subject are investigated, as well as the main challenges to the realization of the right to sexual reassignment as a mechanism for exercising the fundamental right to health. The article is essentially bibliographic in nature, substantiated in an advanced theoretical framework. From a methodological point of view, it is qualitative in nature, using the hypothetical-deductive method.
