El emprendimiento migrante en Brasil: una revisión narrativa de la literatura reciente y contribuciones a los estudios en el Sur Global

Este artículo analiza el emprendimiento migrante en Brasil como un contexto de investigación relevante dentro del Sur Global. El estudio se justifica por la creciente presencia de migrantes en el país, el aumento en el número de microemprendedores extranjeros formalizados y el predominio en la literatura internacional de estudios centrados en las rutas Sur-Norte —a menudo descuidando las dinámicas migratorias dirigidas hacia el Sur Global—. El objetivo es comprender cómo la literatura reciente ha interpretado el emprendimiento migrante en Brasil y discutir cómo este contexto puede contribuir al desarrollo del campo. Para ello, la investigación adopta un enfoque exploratorio, inductivo-interpretativo y documental, combinando el análisis de datos sobre microemprendedores individuales registrados en Brasil con una revisión narrativa de 15 estudios publicados entre 2020 y 2025. El análisis revela que el emprendimiento migrante en el país se caracteriza fuertemente por rutas Sur-Sur y por la participación en actividades de pequeña escala, particularmente en los sectores de comercio y servicios. Los resultados también demuestran que el fenómeno es heterogéneo y relacional —estructurado por redes sociales y étnicas, dinámicas de cuidado, mediaciones institucionales, plataformas digitales y un acceso desigual a los recursos—, posicionando así a Brasil como un contexto empíricamente fértil y teóricamente relevante para la agenda internacional del campo.
