Abstract

Review of the book History of Feminisms in Latin America by Dora Barrancos, published in 2022. Dora Barrancos' book, translated by Michelle Strzoda, is a critical invitation to learn about our feminist histories, to join in the struggle and conquest of human rights, and to value the lives of women and the Latin American territory.

Author Biography

Suzana Morelo Vergara Martins Costa, 48 98846-9379

Suzana Morelo Vergara Martins Costa is currently a Capes PhD scholarship holder in the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Human Sciences at the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC. She is an anthropologist graduated from UFSC and holds a Master’s degree in Theater from the State University of Santa Catarina. She is an actress in the Teatro em Trâmite group at the Casa Vermelha Cultural Center. She is a researcher at the Center for Gender Identities and Subjectivities. She researches women’s theater, feminisms, narratives, and anthropology.
